An American actress, Melissa Ellen Gilbert who is known for being a most celebrated television director, producer, politician, and former president of the Screen Actors Guild where she served from 2001 to 2005. Later, Gilbert dropped out due to her health issues facing from a 2012 accident.
Career
In 1967, Gilbert started off her acting career with ‘The Reluctant Astronaut’. In 1979, she appeared as Clara in Nutcracker Fantasy.
In 1985, she acted in ‘Sylvester’ in which she portrayed the role of Charlie. In the following year, she appeared in Drug-Free Kids: A Parent’s Guide’.
